Mid-Day M.A.X.
M.A.X. also offers a Mid-Day M.A.X. program for Kindergarten students on half-days. Mid-Day M.A.X. begins at dismissal time for Kindergarteners on a half-day schedule (11:30 am at Shelter Rock School and 12:00 pm at Munsey Park School). When Mid-Day M.A.X. is over at 2:30 pm, the children would be dropped off by the Mid=Day M.A.X. teacher at their usual bus pick-up station so that they may board their buses going back home from the school. Children staying for the M.A.X. afterschool program would be dropped off at the afterschool M.A.X. classroom. Mid-Day M.A.X. is a terrific option for your child's half-day school schedule!
The M.A.X. Program
Manhasset Afterschool Xperience, Inc. is a New York State-registered, non-profit private organization open to all children in the Manhasset School District. The program operates in both Munsey Park Elementary School, as well as in Shelter Rock Elementary School. Conveniently, your child never has to leave the school building to attend the program.

M.A.X. is open on school days, from dismissal time until 6:30 pm. M.A.X. offers children, of Grades K-6, healthy snacks, homework time, as well as a choice of arts and crafts, cooking, sports and games. All of these activities blend enjoyable learning with recreation and creativity.
On non-Federal holidays and school vacation days, M.A.X. is open from 8:00 am until 6:30 pm. If your child does not need to attend a full week of M.A.X., a flexible schedule allows parents to select which days their child will attend.

How to Register
Please contact us for a M.A.X. brochure/registration form. Once we receive your completed registration form, we would then provide a complete set of enrollment documents via regular mail for you to review and send back to us. Enrollment documents may also be sent to parents via E-mail, upon request.
At M.A.X., we accept registration applications on an ongoing basis throughout the year, but we highly encourage early registration.
Tuition for Mid-Day M.A.X. covers afterschool care for Kindergarteners, from 11:30 am-2:30 pm (Shelter Rock) and 12:00 pm-3:00 pm (Munsey Park). Tuition for the M.A.X. afterschool program covers care from dismissal time until 6:30 pm.
Fees for the 2008-2009 school year are due in an installment payment schedule, as follows:
First installment: September 7
Second installment: December 7
Final installment: March 22
Tuition payments may be sent to the M.A.X. office in the form of personal checks or money orders. Full tuition cost information is provided upon request. Please refer to our contact details below. Thank you.
